Meet Me In Africa!

In 2012, when Founder of VOCAB Communications, Chrissy Newton teamed up with MTV Canada and Life Momentum to take part in a charitable media trip, she would feel connected to the children of Tanzania forever. The Meet Me In Africa initiative is currently a philanthropic arm of Chrissy’s Public Relations agency operating out of Toronto, Canada.

During her travels, she was introduced to an orphanage located in  Arusha,Tanzania. The orphanage continues to be run by a woman by the name of Mama Jane.

Chrissy’s burning desire to help these children would take her back halfway across the world to Tanzania in 2013. This time, to establish a relationship with the teachers and children. This year, Chrissy and a team of volunteers will meet in Africa to work directly on one project in the areas of construction, education and agriculture. Find out how you can get involved below!

Goal: To create a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children and youth at Mama Jane’s Orphanage.

Mission: To help support and develop Mama Jane’s Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania with youth based programming, sustainable agricultural and housing development.
