About MIFF

As the meeting place for the next generation of Canadian talent, MIFF has been coined the most filmmaker-friendly festival to date. Designed with the understanding of how exclusive, anonymous and unapproachable most big film festivals can seem, MIFF takes the opposite approach. Keeping submission fees low, encouraging local talent, hosting workshops with industry leaders, and keeping the festival competition all-Canadian.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation since 1982 helped build healthy and vibrant communities, by strengthening the capacity of the voluntary sector through investments in community-based initiatives. This is reflected in their granting priorities that enable organizations to build on their strengths and develop new ideas.
